Ronald McDonald Family Room

Providing respite and relaxation within the walls of healthcare institutions

What We Do

A Ronald McDonald Family Room offers a special place of respite, relaxation and privacy within the walls of health care institutions. It provides a small oasis of calm and normalcy within the tense, chaotic, medical setting – yet parents are just steps from their child’s bedside.

Amenities

• Kitchenette
• Beverages and snacks
• Seating area with a television
• Play area and interactive toys
• Free internet access
• Work spaces
• A friendly face and assistance from a Ronald McDonald Family Room volunteer or staff member

Location

The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located on the 4th Floor of Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Frisco.

 

Wish List

We are in need of items to help our Family Room run smoothly. Below are some of our most needed items. We also have a wish list at Amazon. You can click the link below to have items delivered directly to the House.
• Individually packaged snacks
• Small bottled water
• Coffee and tea K-cups (regular, decaf)
• Paper products (plates, napkins, paper towels)

 

 

Volunteer

Our Ronald McDonald Family Room depends on volunteers each week to serve our mission. We need volunteers Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm. For more information, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@rmhdallas.org or click the button below to apply for a shift.
